Swathi Vurrakula is a biotech researcher experienced in building partnerships and valorising knowledge. Her current role as a Business Development Manager at the World’s leading Wageningen University and Research, is to facilitate the great Indian leapfrog in the agri and food sectors by drawing upon the expertise of Wageningen Research. An ardent proponent of leveraging data, one of her focus areas is “computer vision and agro food robotics”.
She co-founded FarmBot in 2017, a predictive analytics platform providing forecasting services for the farming and retail industries and was instrumental in building the platform in its entirety and the MVP. Prior to this, she worked on Indo-Danish collaborative projects at the Danish Technological Institute.
Her background is in a wide-range of subjects spanning the agri, food and data analytics domains and holds a PhD from Copenhagen University in Denmark. She specializes in knowledge & tech transfer and business case development for start-ups and combines her scientific and entrepreneurial acumens to turn science into reality.
